In a quiet and old village, Rind between hills and centuries-old vineyards, Vardan Sahakyan, the founder of SAVAR, grew up hearing stories whispered by the vineyard winds and dreaming of putting his village's name on the world stage.
As the years went by, he kept pushing his dreams closer to reality, combining his love for wine with his many years of business experience. Even as he left Armenia, he held onto the dream - to return to his village and make a difference.
How it Started
From Dreaming to Giving Chance to Dream
He dreamed of bringing his winemaking expertise back to Rind, not only to craft exceptional wines but to create a legacy that could be passed down through generations. So, with determination and a heart full of dreams, Vardan came back to Rind, eager to start a new chapter.
This was the beginning of SAVAR, a winery that is not only crafting outstanding wines but also contributing to the village's growth, becoming a symbol of hope and progress.
Why Rind
Rind, roosted at a high mountain, offered unique soil and grape varieties ideally suited for winemaking. The village had a rich history of winemaking, passed down through generations. SAVAR's location is breathtaking, at 1350 meters, with a panoramic view of the surrounding landscapes and the majestic mountains that frame the horizon.
