The Grand Opening of SAVAR Wines
On the 3rd of November, 2023, the grand opening of SAVAR wines took place at the house museum of Martiros Saryan. Key people in the Armenian wine history, wine lovers, and wine partners were invited to the evening. The official part of the event consisted of food pairings served with each wine.
After many years of hard work, the team behind it was finally able to introduce to the Armenian wine community SAVAR wines: red dry wine (2021 vintage), white dry wine (2021 vintage), and dry rose (2022 vintage). The venue of the evening was not chosen by chance. Saryan's House-Museum, wine, classical live music, decoration of the hall, and colors all together reminded the guests about dreams, about the importance of soaring into your dreams and being a helping hand for the country, the village, and the people, which all about the true mission of SAVAR.
"When SAVAR was still only in our minds, and we were talking about winemaking with the founder of SAVAR, my uncle Vardan, what was the purpose of building a factory in Rind, developing winemaking itself, we were both supporters of the same goal, that the village is the priority, to show that big dreams can be achieved even in the village," mentioned in her speech Nelli Abrahamyan, the executive director of SAVAR.
During the event, all the guests and partners were presented with detailed information about the wines, their characteristics, and grape types, and, most importantly, the team answered the question, WHY SAVAR?
Savar is about the location, the place where we came from, Rind, Vayots Dzor mountains. SAVAR is about the sky, land, sun, and vineyards. SAVAR means to soar, as the wine is a way to take thoughts far away, philosophize, and soar in your dreams. SAVAR is also about people because our people invest in this daily, taking care of grapes and creating fine wines.
The beautiful evening would not be the same without Episodenmore, who helped to organize everything so beautifully, and our dear guests, who came to welcome SAVAR and be the first to soar with us.
In conclusion, the grand opening of SAVAR marked a significant milestone in the history of Armenian wines. The wines' different flavors and high quality have already captured the attention of wine lovers. During the event, we presented wines and shared the story and hard work that went into making each bottle. As we wrap up this first celebration, we are excited for the future and committed to bringing new taste and quality to you. There's more on the way!
