SAVAR Winery at ProWein, Dusseldorf

ProWein 2024 took place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from March 10th to 12th. The ProWein in Düsseldorf is recognized as the leading international trade fair for the wine and spirits industry, providing an essential platform for professional visitors from the retail, wholesale, gastronomy, hotel industry, and processing industries. Representatives from the wine and spirits industry came together to hold wine talks and make valuable contacts around the drink. The trade fair welcomed around 47,000 registered visitors from 135 countries to the exhibition halls - a huge potential for networking and making new business.

A super exciting moment was when the ProSpirits brand world premiered. It had 420 exhibitors from 40 countries, showcasing the newest spirits industry trends in a big space of 4,800 square meters.

Besides SAVAR, another 21 Armenian wine manufacturers were represented in this big wine trade show with the support of the Vine & Wine Foundation of Armenia Foundation alongside GIZ and more.

SAVAR was participating in the fair with its 3 classic wine types that managed to be loved by the international wine community.

"It was our first international wine expo, ProWein, for SAVAR, and I can proudly say it was successful. For a winery that has been available in the market for 6 months, this was proof that we found our unique place, which motivates us to move forward to new markets, " said Nelli Abrahamyan, director of SAVAR Winery.

The SAVAR team also mentioned that this was a great experience for Armenia, which is in the process of a renaissance as a wine country, and such kinds of international events are important.

Abrahamyan also highlighted the most interesting part of the fair. Armenian manufacturers came together to support and collaborate with each other, extending a helping hand to any winemaker and creating a sense of community. "This unity is a vital element deserving appreciation and respect. During the fair, we presented not just individual wine brands but collectively represented Armenian wines, ensuring their country's prominent presence," she concluded.

The participation of Armenian wine producers at the Düsseldorf trade fair represented the rich history of Armenian wines and established themselves more firmly in the international market. The continued dedication of Armenian winemakers to quality and collaboration is presented by this type of event, which has great promise for the industry’s future.
